Dear Law Students,
If an AILA Law Student membership wasn’t already free, it would pay for itself several times over with the benefits it provides. Check out some of the free membership benefits below that you may be missing out on.
AILA Career Center
The AILA Career Center offers free professional services to help you build and manage your career and maximize your potential for success. Our resources include professional resume review, personalized career coaching, and our nationwide job postings search engine.
Think Immigration
AILA’s blog, Think Immigration, is a great resource for keeping your finger on the pulse of the latest trending topics in immigration law, but it is also a way to add your voice to the conversation. Have an idea that would make a good blog post? View our guidelines for blog post submissions.
AILA Law Journal
Led by the founder and director of Penn State Law's Center for Immigrants' Rights Clinic, Professor Shoba Sivaprasad Wadhia, the AILA Law Journal is our biannual publication of timely immigration law articles. It is also your opportunity to have a paper published. In fact, current law student member Angela Landa wrote the article The Civil Penalty of Deportation for the October 2021 Issue and an accompanying video blog post.
The next submission deadline is June 22, 2022; learn more about what we’re looking for in submissions and stay tuned for the spring 2022 issue, celebrating AILA’s 75th anniversary, coming soon.
Law Student Listserve
The AILA Law Student listserve provides the perfect platform to network with your peers from around the country. Ask questions, start a debate, or discover answers to the case challenges that you are studying at your own school.
